The data published by the GDD (in Chinese and English) includes metadata (in Chinese and English), entity data (in Chinese and English) and the data papers published in “Geoscientific Data & Discovery” (in Chinese and English). The sharing policy is as follows:

(1) The geological data submitted by authors are open to the public for downloading by end users free of charge on the internet.

(2) When the data are cited, the end users shall indicate the sources of data in the reference or at other appropriate locations in the reference format.

(3) Users of the value-added service and users who distribute and communicate the data in any form (including through computer servers) shall sign an agreement in writing with the Editorial Office of the GDD (in Chinese and English) to obtain a license.

(4) Authors who extract a part of the data to create new data shall follow the principle of 10% citation, i.e., the data record extracted from this dataset shall be less than 10% of the total records of the new dataset, and the source of extracted data records shall be indicated.
